Technology
The VOC Monitor employs a patented diffusion cell probe. VOCs diffuse through the probe, and are analysed by a VOC measurement sensor. The resulting millivolt signal from the sensor is stored in a data logger.
Unlike other measurement techniques, the diffusion cell technology is able to separate VOCs from other compounds which can interfere with the reading while at the same time pre-concentrating them. |

This pre-concentration effect results in very high sensitivity, with a lower detection limit of 0.1 mgL. Sensors are available for BTEX and Halocarbons. Individual sensors are factory calibrated for BTEX or Halocarbons (using TCE).
The technology has been tested in laboratory and field applications in Australia. |
