AquaMiner offers the following advantages

Simplicity of operation and full automation. AquaMiner relies solely on treatment by membrane filtration. In contrast, a biological treatment process that relies on live micro-organisms such as bacteria to treat the wastewater is quite a sensitive process and requires considerably more effort to operate. |

Can be switched on and off based on demand. The AquaMiner is a physical/mechanical process and is not required to be operated continuously. In contrast, a biological treatment process must be operated continuously to keep the active micro-organisms responsible for the biological treatment alive. Hence, the operating cost for the AquaMiner can be reduced by switching off the plant when there is no demand. |

Cleaner water and better protection. The dual membrane system provides two barriers for the removal of pathogens in the wastewater, compared to a single barrier in most other water reuse plants. The reverse osmosis unit also removes dissolved solids and thus overcome salinity issues. The addition of either chlorine or ultra violet ray disinfections provides a third barrier for public health protection. The Victorian Department of Human Services has certified the water quality as A Class (which is the highest rating in terms of Australian standards). |
