| Scott Harris holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Economic from Macquarie University and has over 30 years experience in the water and wastewater industry.
He has worked in R&D on materials, corrosion and water and sewage treatment process development with the NSW Department of Public Works and Services including the invention and patent of the biological phosphorus removal in the intermittently decanted extended aeration (IDEA) process and development of the design methods and programs used to design most of the IDEA treatment plants in Australia among other innovative developments.

| Since 1990 he has specialised in wastewater process design and treatment plant design management. In 1995 he joined Australian Water Technologies as Manager for Wastewater Treatment Process.
When AWT was absorbed into Sydney Water Corporation in 2001 he continued as Manager for Wastewater Treatment Process in the Wastewater Treatment Planning Section until 2006 responsible for wastewater treatment facility planning and implementation.
He has wide range of experience in innovation, implementation, treatment process design, design management and planning. |
